In eastern Uganda, PERFUTURO combines modern Arabica cultivation with a diverse agroforestry system across 10,000,000 m². Coffee grows alongside different tree species, including fruit trees. Instead of monocultures, the land is managed through diversity, reduced use of machinery and a strong focus on manual work.
Both the land and the coffee benefit. Trees help retain water in the soil, their leaves provide natural nutrients, and greater biodiversity supports a healthy ecosystem. The result is resilient agriculture with long-term yield potential.

Agroforestry and reforestation combine productive land use with long-term ecological development. Coffee keeps the land productive and generates ongoing returns. Reforestation establishes new tree cover and sequesters carbon over the long term. Revenue from coffee can provide additional support for reforestation.
