ATIGUA Conservation Project – Amazon Rain Forest
A long-term Private Partnership with the owners of the properties in Brazil
as part of the Perfuturo Forest Reserve Brazil Ltda.
Project objectives:
Conservation and carbon avoidance in the rainforest biome, alongside protection against threats such as poaching, species trafficking, illegal land grabbing, and deforestation.
Biodiversity conservation, focusing on the protection of endangered rare bird species, one of Brazil’s last jaguar populations, and other large animals.
Restoration and reforestation of up to 2,000 hectares of land previously damaged by deforestation as farmland or cattle pasture, as well as burned areas caused by wildfires.
